For as long as Alice can remember, she has dreamed of Max. Together they have traveled the world and fallen deliriously, hopelessly in love. Max is the boy of her dreams—and only her dreams. Because he doesn’t exist.

But when Alice walks into class on her first day at a new school, there he is. It turns out, though, that Real Max is nothing like Dream Max, and getting to know each other in reality isn’t as perfect as Alice always hoped.

When their dreams start to bleed dangerously into their waking hours, the pair realize that they might have to put an end to a lifetime of dreaming about each other. But when you fall in love in your dreams, can reality ever be enough?

Whimsical, romantic and utterly original, Lucy Keating’s debut novel will win readers’ hearts.
Review by Nara

Okay, so I think I gave this book a good go, but it definitely was not one for me. Reading the blurb now, to be honest, I'm not sure why I ever wanted to read this book in the first place. It sounds like a cheesy rom com plot. I tried to read it once, gave up on it, and then tried it again a couple of years later, but it was still pretty poorly written. It's not just the writing itself, but the character development was quite terrible and the conflict/issues that arise in the novel just weren't that compelling. I did technically finish the book, but it was while ridiculously skim reading it so I'm not even sure I can mark it as a finished book. I unfortunately cannot recommend it.

Didn't like it
