And the quote where Gus' dad (I think) is like "our children are weird" and Hazel's dad's like "nicely phrased". So many funny quotes.

That letter at the end was a major punch in the feels. I almost made it without crying, but then JG hit me with that letter...Narahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09378806643397167349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3365200445147197440.post-40091901169822267242014-01-01T18:39:52.503+10:302014-01-01T18:39:52.503+10:30Ahhh! When I shared it with my friends they just looked at me like I was a spaz (which, I probably am, but come on!) and I felt pretty much the same about this book! Only, I cried A LOT. But that's not unusual. I did cry at the Titanic and The Notebook, and just about every other sad book/movie (even sometimes songs) out there.

I love the vlogbrothers videos, too!
ps. Letting someone be in the same room while reading the sad parts and crying so hard you're shaking is not a good idea. ;DJessicahttp://strungoutonbooks.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3365200445147197440.post-25751511574757870992013-07-29T13:14:41.340+09:302013-07-29T13:14:41.340+09:30TFIOS is one of my favourite books as well! It was just so good!

In my opinion, one of the saddest lines is "I'm on a rollercoaster that only goes up" :( SO MANY MEANINGS. Like, he meant that his health is really good at the start, but then again a rollercoaster that only goes up is not a fun rollercoaster. Unlike you, I am quite an emotional person and I cry over the littlest things, so maybe it's no surprise that I cried at the end of TFiOS. Either way, it was those big fat horrible ugly kind of tears, and I just ached all over.

For some reason, I never got that Shakespeare quote while I was reading TFiOS, so thank you for explaining it! (My emotions were clearly clouding everything else, haha.) God, it's so much more heart-breaking now. :'(Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
